INTRODUCTION

Lifeline Medical Center was founded in October 2006, to meet the needs of the many disenfranchised veterans and their dependents who had lost access to quality and affordable health care due to the unscrupulous actions of many of the former health care providers in the Philippines. The building currently housing Lifeline Medical Center was formerly occupied by a similar multi-specialty Out-Patient clinic which became another casualty of numerous billing irregularities and other fraudulent practices. Prior to the original clinics inception, this building also housed ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION OF ASIA FOUNDATION INC. (EPAFI) , a foundation founded in early 1999, with the goal of protecting and preserving the environment in Asia.

EPAFI has made numerous inroads since its inception in the areas of reforestation, protected areas management, wildlife rescue, coral reef propagation, sustainable livelihood development and much more. A project of note is the Zambales Turtle Conservation Program in partnership with the Provincial Government of Zambales and the Department of the Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

In March 2006, it was decided that due to the urgent need of military retirees and their dependents that EPAFI would endeavor to create a medical facility that would provide quality and affordable health care in line with our original corporate charter that provides for the operation of clinics and hospitals throughout the Philippine Archipelago. Thus, Lifeline Medical Center was born.

Today, the clinic is in full operation with a Medical Staff of over 30 doctors with variety of specialties including Cardiology, Nephrology, Orthopaedics, Pediatrics and Urology just to name a few. The clinic features radiology, laboratory, physical rehabilitation, ultrasound, opthomology/optometry and pharmacy.

Lifeline Medical Center Olongapo was opened in January 2008 and provides services similar to our clinic in Angeles City. It is conveniently located in the heart of Olongapo close to City Hall and the Public Market.

Lifeline Medical Center has state of the art computerized patient billing and tracking systems and can be considered a clinic of the future.
